Morning, visit Chatuchak (Weekend only)
a particularly good place to buy all sorts of Thai handicrafts,
as there's a huge range, the quality is high and the intense competition keeps the prices low, fruits, vegetables, antiques, animals,
clothes, you mane it, they have it!!.
Then continue on to visit the Royal Grand Palace the major landmark of the country. The Palace
was built in 1782 by King Rama I and was the centre of power for over 200 years. In the complex is the Chakri Hall,
a striking example of Italian architecture surmounted by a Thai-style roof, and the dazzling Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha),
which houses Thailand's most revered Buddha image.
Each building in the complex is a work of art and the serenity that pervades the grounds
makes it difficult to leave even after several hours.
End the day with a visit at Wat Po, housing the large reclining Buddha status and a traditional school of Thai massage.
Day 2 : Big Shopping day in Bangkok
Morning, shopping in one of the large shopping malls in the city, Center World plaza with many shops and department stores.
On the opposite, is the well known Erawan shrine where you can see everyday Thai dances and people who are worship.
This very
popular shrine is visited by countless Thais who seek good luck. They bring flowers and other offerings to offer to the image inside.
Mahboonkrong Center, a shopping mall with many floors and shops.
Day 3 : Bangkok – Damnoen Saduak Floating market - River Kwai
Leaving early morning to visit Damnoen Saduak, the biggest floating market in Thailand located south north, 2 hours away.
Here you can enjoy a ride on the natural canal on a long tailed speed-boat to the market.
The market is made up of Thai
style canoes laden with colourful, succulent fruits, vegetables, sweets and meats. They gently ply their way through the
canal selling as they go.
Afternoon, our driver will take you direct to Khanchanaburi province, where the Bridge
over the River Kwai is situtated. Overnight here.
Day 4 : River Kwai
Historically Kanchanaburi is best known as the site of the infamous “Death Railway” and “Bridge Over the River Kwai”, built by allied POWs
and Asian forced labour during World War II.
The region, however, has a long past, with evidence of settlement during Neolithic times,
while in recorded history, the area was occupied by the ancient Khmer prior to the rise of the Thai.
Morning visit “the Bridge over the River Kwai” and JEATH War Museum. A War Museum in the riverside
precincts of Wat Chaichurnphon has been constructed in the form prisoner of war camp, contains pictorial and physical memorabilia
in the Second World War which hardly to see them today!.
Then visit the largest war-cemetery, this immaculately maintained enclave contains the remains of 6,982 Allied prisoners-of¬war who perished
during the construction of the Death Railway.
Then time come to enjoy the train ride cross the actual Bridge over the River Kwai to a small village
called Wang Po where our driver will be waiting. Then proceed on to the Erawan National park to see a wonderful waterfall in which you can swim.
Overnight here in the River kwai.
Day 5 : Tak - Chiang Rai
After breakfast drive further north to Kamphaeng Phet, a former sister’s town of Sukhothai.
A quiet rural province south of Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet was an important line of defence during the Sukhothai era,
and the old city has similarly been preserved as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The ruins here are smaller and less imposing than that of those of Sukhothai itself, but they benefit from a tranquil,
leafy setting that lends a romantic charm to their architectural interest. Overnight in Tak.
Day 6 : Mae Sot - Bangkok / Chiang Mai
Approximately of 2 hours driving time, we will arrive at the temple of Wat Phra That Lampang Luang close to the city of Lampang.
Here you will see a nice old temple that mostly made out of wood in the typical northern style.
Continue to Lampang through
the hill and valleys direct to Phayao province.
En route stop will be made at the
largest freshwater lake in Thailand. Continue on to Chiang Rai.
Day 7 : In Chiang Rai (Golden Triangle)
Today, visit some of the hilitribe villages and proceed to Mae Sai, the most northern point of Thailand. If time allow, you can pass the border
to have a brief visit local market in Burma. (Require Passport, and pictures)
Then onward to visit the famous Opium Museum, and the
famous "Golden Triangle", where the confluence of the Mekong and Ruak rivers forms the border between Thailand, Myanmar and Laos — a famous
and spell¬binding spot.
Day 8 : Chiang Rai – Chiang Mai
Departs Chiang Rai with 3 hours ride to Chiang Mai. After arrival, proceed on to the mountain Doi Suthep to visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep (A.D.1384), containing a
holy relic of Lord Buddha, with a challenging flight of over 300 steps, flanked by enormous mythological Nagas.
A panoramic view of the city can be seen from here at
3,500 feet above sea level. On a clear day the panoramic views of the city from the temple ground are truly spectacular!
Day 9 : In Chiang Mai
Morning visit Chaing Dao Elephant camp, an unspoiled setting, marvel at these colossal beasts of burden performing amazing feast of strength and
skill at the command of their Mahouts.At the camp, experience the elephant trek through the jungle and forest, past bamboo trees and
hanging creepers, upwards towards a remote Lisu Hill Tribe Village.
Afternoon visit the local home industry and see how the local people makes and produces their local products. Chiang Mai
is Thailand’s main handicraft centre and is ringed by small cottage factories and workshops.
The artisans produce an
extraordinary range of quality products which are in variably the first choice among shoppers, silverware, lacquer ware, silk and
cotton products, ceramics, parasols and jewelry.
Evening suggest to visit the Cultural Center to enjoy a typical northern Thailand dinner "Kantoke" where you also see
Thai dances and a cultural show.
Day 10. Chiang Mai – Phitsanulok
Check out and depart Chiang Mai proceed south heading for Phitsanulok and further down to visit Sukhothai. Sukhothai, is the first capital of the old kingdom of Siam.
The town had its great time in the 13 th and 14 th century.
In the huge cultural park you will visit the most important temple sites,
such as Wat Mahatat, Wat Sra Sri and Wat Si Sawai. Overnight in Phitsanulok.
Day 11. Phitsanulok
Sightseeing in the province capital. See a Buddha factory and Folk Museum. Visit Wat Mahatat, housing one of the most beautiful
Buddha image in Thailand. Afternoon, free at leisure.
Day 12. Phitsanulok - Loei
Leave the city to Thung Salaeng National Park to enjoy a view of the Gaeng Sopha waterfall - the small "Niagara falls" of Thailand.
Continue to Loei where we will have break.
There is a typical provincial farmers market. Loei has long been a favorite destination
for nature lovers, most of whom come to scale the famous mesa mountain Phu Kradueng.
The other two of Loei's triple lofty treats are
Phu Luang, within whose range lies a wildlife reserve, and Phu Rua. Overnight in Loei.
Day 13 : Loei - Udon Thani
Today we go along the Mekong river with a fantastic scenery. Many stops on the way to Nong Khai, the border town to Laos. Visit the market and Wat
Khaek with its tall statues of Buddhism and Hinduism, absolute spectacular. Continue to Udon Thani.
Day 14 : Udon Thani (Ban Chiang)
Morning, leaving Udon Thani to visit Ban Chiang. Ban Chiang is the capital of the bronce culture and the "cradle of being human". Proceed
to the village Sawang Daen Din to visit a farmers market and the Queen's project, the country site doing handicraft work
Day 15 : Udon - Khao Yai National Park
On the way to Khao Yai, stop can be made at Prasat Hin Pimai.
The Praset was built in the early 12th century and has been described as the largest
Khmer sanctuary in Thailand, and one of the finest examples of classical Khmer architecture.
It was once linked by a direct road with Angkor itself.
The temple was restored by Bernard Groslier, a French archaeologist.there is the famous 1000 years old Khmer temple to visit.
Continue to Khao Yai National Park.
Day 16 : Khao Yai Nationalpark
A whole day trip through this first national park of Thailand. Today you will go several times hiking, see some waterfalls, have
lunch in the jungle, see a fantastic plateau with very good views inside the park and at the early evening you can climb up a mountain
or watch it from downstairs how 1 million bats leaving there cave to go inside the park to catch their food.
Day 17. Khao Yai - Bangkok
Early morning leaving the lodge and proceed to Bangkok where you can catch the plane back to your country or extent your
holidays in Bangkok or South Thailand.
