| BRIDGE OVER THE RIVER KWAI |
|
Fascinating, nostalgic and memorable sums up
this day trip to the Kanchanaburi province.

The province itself is an agricultural area-sugar cane, rice paddies and pineapple plantations are all part of the landscape. Her , there is the infamous Bridge over the River kwai and the beginning of the “death Railway” which lies some 20kms outside the town, stands as a poignant reminder of the thousands of POW’S and forced laborers who lost their lives in the Second World War.

Don't forget to visit JEATH museum. The museum displaying the pictorial evidence of the suffering and degradation of the prisoners, and the Kanchanaburi Allied War Cemetery filled with such heart-ran tingly young, brave men, are both compulsive and very emotive. A moving, and very worthwhile, experience
